  • SCALE health initiatives have covered over 10,000 people & 5000 school children.
  • Over 7,000 surveys carried out prior to various initiatives
  • 14000 free physiotherapy sessions provided to the aged during last the three years
  • SCALE continues to provide for the 7th and destitute children in Bangalore year, weekly medical support to the visually impaired

Rural Entrepreneurship

  • SCALE has set up 17 entrepreneurs in Uttarakhand & Uttar Pradesh
  • It has promoted rural entrepreneurship in Uttarakhand & Uttar Pradesh
  • In Bageshwar, Uttarakhand, Asian Institute of Learning started its Computer Training Centre with the help of 6 computers, UPS, Printer, Scanner, Photocopier provided by SCALE
  • SCALE conducts three teachers training program for the IT head in Bageshwar
  • Another SCALE promoted entrepreneur starts his Computer Training Centre in Lakhimpur-Kheri in Uttar Pradesh.
  • SCALE trained three students in Optic Fibre, start their independent telecom business in Haldwani
  • SCALE tailoring programs helps 5 Girls to set up their boutiques
  • Software entrepreneurship through SCALE, takes the first step in Noida. A participant from SCALE institute sets up his software company in the city Noida, Uttar Pradesh


Renewable Energy

  • SCALE designs, develops & manufacture its own Solar Lantern
  • Donates 200 own designed VK Solar Lanterns in Uttarakhand to remote villages
  • SCALE ties up with Dr.Gon Chaudhuri from NBIRT, Green Oscar winner
  • SCALE promotes Solar in the interiors of Uttarakhand.
  • 50 technicians trained in assembly and repair of solar lanterns
  • 15 technicians trained for installation and repairs of Solar Water Heaters
  • 10 consultants trained for preparing detailed project reports on Solar Water Heaters
  • SCALE runs the UNDP Solar Water Heater Program in Kumaon Region of Uttarakhand
  • Annual increase of 35 % in solar water heater installations in Kumaon region after SCALE Awareness Program in November 2011
  • Two training program organized by SCALE for assembly & repairs of solar lantern for women at All India Women Council
  • SCALE participated in IGNOU exhibition on Solar Lantern assembly program.

ECOgrade Photodegradable bags-A Real Alternative to Plastic

  • SCALE has introduced through GXT, a U.S.A based company, an alternative to plastics in the form of ECO grade photodegradable bags.
  • It uses sunlight for degradation within 240 days & leaves no toxic
  • GXT certified bags, a winner of many International awards
  • It hopes to majorly address the polyethylene issue in India
  • The technology uses the existing plastic manufacturing set up for production
  • it will help to provide rehabilitation hundreds of thousands of displaced workers
  • SCALE helps GXT to appoint the Contract Manufacturer in India
  • GXT ECOgrade Photo degradable bags starts manufacturing in India

Electronic Waste

  • SCALE enters Electronic Waste to address the issues of environment & employment
  • It ties up with the formal recycler, Green Vortex & corporates for collection of e-waste
  • SCALE will use the Green Vortex facility to train the unemployed youth in assembly & repairs of computers.
  • It ties up with IT companies to provide jobs to the trained participants
  • Children Talent Support
  • SCALE will bring in awareness to informal & formal recyclers towards safe e-waste handling

School Education

  • SCALE helping 5,000 school children through its support to schools
  • It has donated a total of 94 computers and UPS to 6 schools in Haldwani, NCR Delhi and Bangalore
  • 75 three-seater benches donated to a government school in Noida
  • A needy school at Hapur in Uttar Pradesh, gets IT support from SCALE
  • SCALE places its IT Head at Vidya Mandir Junior High School in Haldwani, Uttarakhand
  • It has provided 10 computers, UPS, All in One Printer
  • LKG trained teachers recruited for school in Haldwani, Uttarakhand to the school.
  • To encourage Science & Maths, Science Centres being set up at five schools in Uttarakhand.
  • It has donated a total of 250 Science & Maths Models, Charts & Instruments like Microscope to the 5 schools
  • SCALE provides 6 computers, UPS & All in One Printer for 300 school students to Savitri Shiksha Sansthan School in Haldwani.
  • It provides sports equipments to 5 schools in Uttarakhand
  • SCALE is helping Vidya Mandir Junior High School in Haldwani to save paper computerizing their records
  • SCALE has supplied 1,300 school bags to a tribal school in Orissa
  • SCALE introduces computer education at Nav Jyoti Public School at Sooree Village in Almora District of Uttarakhand.
  • It has donated 4 computers along with UPS & printer
  • 150 students benefits from this initiative
  • Another 4 computers with all accessories given to Astha Vision Academy, an underprivileged school in the remote location at Baram village, Dharchula Block of Pithoragarh District.
  • 16 computers along with UPS and printer donated to RNBMS Girls & Boys school in Bangalore, Karnataka

Disaster Management

  • SCALE provided relief to more than 1000 flood affected people in Uttarakhand during the year 2013
  • It donated 850 beds, 600 quilts, 600 beddings, 600 pillows & bed sheets, 200 solar lanterns to houses without electricity, mobile charging stations & 600 mosquito nets
  • SCALE adopts a remote school for education rebuilding in Dharchula Block of Pithoragarh District, Uttarakhand
  • It runs capacity building programs for solar lantern repairs.


  • SCALE brings sports as a curriculum, in 5 schools of Uttarakhand State

SCAE ties up with Olympic Gold Quest, an organization founded & run by Geet Sethi, Prakash Padukone, Leander Paes, Viren Rasquinha & Vishwanathan Anand

Vocational Courses

Computer Literacy

  • Over 5,400 school students covered through SCALE IT projects in the country
  • SCALE IT courses generate jobs or self-employment for its 1100 trained participants
  • Girls constitute 70% of its enrolment
  • Students employed in government, private and corporates
  • 94 computers & UPS donated to the needy schools & poor in Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, to the Army in J&K, NCR Delhi and in Karnataka
  • SCALE provides for IT education to the 250 slum children at Moti Bagh in Delhi
  • Computer education in schools initiated by SCALE


  • SCALE tailoring program has covered about 900 rural and underprivileged girls
  • Girls trained in cutting, stitching and designing
  • Eight sewing machines donated to poor women
  • SCALE donates 4 sewing machines for the women at Sooree village in Almora District of Uttarakhand
  • Nearly 175 girls engaged in self-employment


  • 54 boys trained in Optical Fibre Splicing
  • 50 boys placed in jobs in corporate and channel segment
  • One SCALE trained student employed overseas
